Not sure which foundations look good in camera? Here are few of my favourites that always photograph well.

I have tried a number of foundations myself and have had make up artists using various products for my shoots or fashion events. Some of them looked amazing, others created a mask effect and made the clients or models looked older than they actually were.

I have chosen my personal favourites which I use myself and know they photograph well. Not only they are perfect for the studio shoots but also for any events, special occasions or a night out. They all last long, have nice finish and very low or no SPF (high SPF may bounce the light off your face giving you a ghost look).

Here is my list…

MAC matchmaster

A liquid foundation with customisable pigments that offers medium, buildable coverage with a demi-matt finish. It adapts to your individual skin tone transforming into a customised shade that is unique to you, the foundation blends seamlessly onto skin and camouflages imperfections pretty well whilst not looking like a mask at all. It’s great for any skin type, especially oily. I love it’s finish and how long it lasts. You can buy MAC Matchmaster foundation here.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light

This is probably my number one foundation, quite pricey though. It is advertised as soft matte but it has a light sheen to it. This foundation is lightweight and oil free, it won’t clog pores. It keeps skin fresh, comfortable and shine-free. Light-to-medium coverage builds invisibly and looks natural. Good for all skin types. Double Wear Light is available in Debenhams and Boots.

Milani Conceal 2 in 1

Really good value for money (about £11 to £14 per bottle, depending on the shop). I’m normally not a fan of full coverage foudnations but this one does not create a mask effect at all. It has a lovely velvet finish, covering all imperfections well and a long lasting power. It can be used as a sheer to medium coverage if blended with moisturiser. Good selection of shades. You can buy Milani foundation here.

MakeUp Forever Ultra HD Foundation

Iconic foundation that provides undetectable medium coverage and a blurred, skin-like finish for up to 24 hours. It’s got lovely velvet finish and light to medium coverage. Available in 50 shades to match your complexion. Its perfect if you have generally good skin. Also a nice product for more mature skin as it makes it looks radiant and youthful. You can buy this foundation from a number of shops like large Boots, Debenhams or John Lewis or just head to this website.
