Fearless Portraits for Creatives & Artists: Stacy Roxx’s Personal Branding Session
When you’re a singer, performer, or creative, your images should tell your real story, not just showcase a role or stage persona. This was exactly the vision behind my recent portrait session with Stacy Roxx, an extraordinary tribute singer (Cher, Pink, Roxette, Annie Lennox, and more), songwriter, and true creative force based in Midlands.
Moving Beyond the Stage Persona
Stacy has spent years performing as some of music’s most iconic legends. Her previous photoshoots often focused on the “roles” she played—always capturing her as the singer or entertainer. But for this session, she wanted something radically different: images that would showcase her essence, her inner rebel, her rawness and depth—the fearless, rule-breaking woman behind the music.
When Stacy and I met to plan her personal branding session, she showed me images from past photoshoots. While they were polished and professional, she felt they didn’t truly reflect the powerful, non-conformist spirit that drives her music and life. She wanted branding portraits that would let her audience see the real Stacy—bold, edgy, and unapologetic.
Collaborating on a Creative, Edgy Brand Session
Our personal branding session was an adventure in creativity! Stacy brought an incredible wardrobe—suitcases filled with years’ worth of statement pieces, accessories, and unique looks she’d collected as an artist. Each outfit became a way to express another layer of her personality.
We worked closely with a professional makeup artist to craft looks that were as unconventional as Stacy herself—think striking, bold, and rule-defying makeup that truly belonged to her. The entire process was collaborative: Stacy trusted my direction, but also brought so much energy and vision to the session. Her willingness to be seen as herself—not just as a performer—made every image more powerful.
The Art of Creative Editing
After our session, I spent time carefully editing Stacy’s portraits—not just with traditional retouching, but by adding creative elements and subtle enhancements in Photoshop to amplify the mood and energy of each photograph. These edits helped create images that felt multi-dimensional and deeply atmospheric, giving Stacy an album of portraits that were both visually striking and emotionally raw.
Results That Surpassed All Expectations
When Stacy saw her final portraits, she was blown away—despite being a seasoned creative, she hadn’t expected the transformation she saw in the images. We both agreed: these weren’t just photos, they were expressions of her soul, her edge, and her evolution as an artist.
Meet Stacy, the Warrior Queen.

Stacy’s story
At 12, my dad abandoned us, walked out, got on a plane in the middle of the night and never came back. He went to Bolivia for 5 years with no contact and no support. He dramatically came back a week before my GCSE results, didn’t do much to rectify matters, only made it worse. He brought a random woman to see me only months later, announced she was pregnant and for the last 20 years treated his new daughter better than the two he abandoned.
With no support growing up, I have had to provide myself with everything I needed or wanted in life.
My dad recently died from cancer, which has caused a lot of pain and hassle with his other family. All of this caused depression and anxiety from an early age, I also think PTSD as well. I cope with this daily while achieving all that I can day by day.
This is just a brief overview of the whole story!
What do you love about yourself?
I love that I’m a warrior and I don’t conform to the norm. I’m unusual in my style choices and tastes in all aspects! I’m really creative and like that I don’t conform and I don’t give in easily!
If you had the power to change 3 things in the world, what would they be?
Judgement
Female inequality
Eradicate crime
What is your superpower?
Determination….or is that stubbornness?!
What do you want to do more each day?
I want to be better than the day before! Sometimes that’s a challenge, other days it’s not!

Singing is a big part of YOU and your life. How did it all start?
It started when I was in secondary school. I was never very confident before, very shy in fact! So I decided that when a group of us girls wanted to start a singing group, that I would push myself to do it and have been pushing myself ever since!
What are your dreams?
I’m a singer, so I want to achieve all I can to further my career but also want some of the basic things which I feel my history has held me back on, the nice house and stress free life in a nice part of the world. Every day has felt like a fight.
What would you advise other people who want to follow their dreams?
Always try to be fearless and have self belief to see anything through. Never give up!
Why were the photographs important to you now?
I see photos as a moment in history, a memory frozen in time. Photographs are artwork which can bring so much joy.
What advice would you give to your 20 year old self
Don’t back down so easily and tell people how you actually feel without feeling guilty.
What got your through some of the most difficult times in your life?
Definitely music
